<div>In the digital world today, one thing is certain, the operations of the internet cannot be carried out without data bandwidth.</div><div><br></div><div>Data bandwidth is like a fuel that the internet as a vehicle works with, without it, there is no movement. Bandwidth is a fundamental concept in networking that refers to the capacity of a network to transmit data. It determines how much data can be transmitted in a given amount of time over a network connection, which makes it possible for all the experiences we have online. So, without sufficient bandwidth, internet-based activities such as browsing, streaming and communication would not be possible.</div><div><br></div><div>While bandwidth is essential for ensuring efficient data transmission and internet functionality, it also comes with several drawbacks like limited availability. For instance, in some regions or rural areas, high-speed bandwidth may not be readily available, thereby limiting internet access and connectivity options for residents. In another instance, some service providers cap bandwidth speed when usage exceeds a certain percentage of allocated bytes. This in turn affects the service quality, leading to partial or total restriction of access to the internet. There are also security concerns for data, since the web is highly prone to cyber attacks and data is stored in cloud-based servers on the same web. Bandwidth can also become congested, leading to slower speeds and degraded internet performance for users.</div><div><br></div><div>These inherent challenges and more cause individuals and organizations to experience limitations in their workflow. Organizations are not able to collaborate seamlessly without hitches here and there. They are not also assured of a safe cyberspace for the security of their data since the web is attack-prone.These concerns require immediate attention as they are gradually making the digital world a besetment. </div><div><br></div><div>If the internet (the web, and unfettered access to it) is the challenge, why not switch to zero internet; go offline? As impossible as it may sound, it is the best solution to address all of these concerns, and that is one of the main purposes of KadMap's existence. KadMap is a Central Office Computer that enables seamless collaboration with Zero internet also known as “offline mode”. What makes this possible is the fact that it is a hardware that an organization can have in their possession. Think of it as a tangible form of web right in your custody. Because of these features, organizations can collaborate seamlessly while still using familiar apps from other platforms. This feature is what makes KadMap stand out amongst its contemporaries.</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-style: italic;">By Martina Nzelu</span></div>
